Spring Cleaning Cat Giveaway

March 11, 2022 //  by Jessica Shipman//  97 Comments

Spring is finally around the corner, bringing with it sunshine, brightly colored flowers, and (of course) spring cleaning! As cat parents, cleaning can introduce some concerns surrounding the health and safety of your feline best friend. Many common household chemicals are highly toxic for your cat and should be avoided.

To create a cat-friendly home, we need to make sure that we are using pet-safe cleaning products. This includes the cleaning solutions used to clean your floors, wash your cat’s beds, and even clean your own laundry. Luckily, there are many great options that will leave our homes both looking and smelling fresh!

Of course, we haven’t forgotten about your cat. As part of your spring cleaning ritual, we’re sure they could use a bit of a spa treatment.

Introducing Our Win One Give One Spring Cleaning Giveaway!

We don’t remember what we were supposed to say here, but like we said on the other one, we use steam, vinegar, baking soda, and water. We also use salt to clean. We are also known as DezizWorld (audra high)

My top tip is stay on top of litter- scoop at LEAST daily. It will make your litter last much longer and your cat will be happier. Since most people have said this already, my second tip is if you see a change in daily routine, make a note of it when it happens.Even if it doesn’t indicate a serious problem, it is good info for your vet during wellness visits.

I keep a tiny bowl of coconut oil by the food station for my cats and haven’t had a hairball ..not even ONE since. It’s not only good for hairballs but it’s also good for their dental and intestinal health as coconut oil is known to kill bacteria in both. This goes for humans as well, so my husband and I put a tiny bit in our coffee each morning and VOILA, NO more coffee breath 😀
If you or the cats don’t care for the coconut flavor, buy refined which removes the flavor.

P.S. It’s also a great cooking oil that has a high smoke point (We buy the organic from ALDI which is under $5)

P.P.S. Make sure you’re cat is judicious in his / her intake. Too much is no good, so you’ll have to just dish out 1/8 teaspoon a few times a week for the same desirable outcome
